First Scales for the Learning Guitarist

is an online course featuring play-along videos for eight scales, with downloadable tablature and backing tracks for each scale.

Designed by James Gardner (Jr. James & The Late Guitar), the course is a basic introduction to a handful of major, minor, and pentatonic scales (plus a bonus blues scale).

The course is ideal for the guitarist who knows a few chords and wants to begin playing single-note lines. While you probably won't be able to shred immediately, you will be on the road toward playing melodies, riffs, phrases and solos.
